Three-Day Workshop on Essential Computer Usage in Office Administration Launched!

A three-day training workshop titled “Essential Computer Usage in Office Administration” was launched by the Directorate of Information Technology of Ghazni Technical University, with the aim of enhancing the professional capacity of administrative staff. The workshop began in the university’s main computer lab with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an.
At the opening of the program, the Deputy Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mufti Sahib Gulbadin Ahmad Yousuf, delivered the inaugural speech.
In his address, he spoke comprehensively about the values of responsibility, unity, sincerity, and brotherhood among administrative staff, and emphasized the importance of utilizing technology for effective and modern management.
Subsequently, the Director of Information Technology, Nasir Ahmad Waghzi, presented a specialized academic presentation for the first day of the workshop.
In his prepared presentation, he provided an in-depth discussion on the introduction and history of computers; computer generations and their characteristics; the basic components of a computer and their functions; the importance of computer usage in office administration—particularly for administrative managers; as well as an overview of operating systems, their types, and installation methods.
At the conclusion of the session, participants expressed their satisfaction with the value and content of the topics presented and showed enthusiasm for further learning.
The first day of the workshop concluded with a prayer.
